Meet Rufus, My Baby Headband Model
This week has been a glum week thus far. Why? Well, I’m not in Hawaii
But the show must go on. In this case, the doggy show.
I’d like to give a special thanks to my favorite dog, Rufus. He did a splendid job being a model for the baby headbands I made for my cousin-in-law’s baby shower.
In this picture, We have Rufus modeling a rose headband made out of red felt. The headband itself was made from elastic fabric which I bought at Hancock Fabrics.
Here we have Rufus sporting a hydrangea flower headband made out of pink felt. Individual 12×12 felt pieces in various colors can also be found at Hancock Fabrics.
I hope Baby Bhai likes them!
Pumpkins and Pinecones and Ragweed OH MY!
Fall is hands down my favorite time of year. What better way to celebrate fall than to spruce up the apartment with some fall decor.
Here are some of my nature inspired creations:
I signed up for a rewards card at Anthropologie and they packed it up in this cute little sack. Of course I asked for one more, filled it up with couscous to weigh it down (I recently discovered that I really don’t like couscous so now I am trying to get rid of it any way I can), and inserted the ‘fall foliage’ (which I later discovered was ragweed…whoops).
For my centerpiece I emptied out my fruit basket and filled it with some pinecones, acorn squash and baby pumpkins.
This branch was a great find! When I found it I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted to do with it. But, after I dropped it in this bubble vase, I realized nothing else needed to be done. This was one spooky branch all on its own!
Despite figuring out this is ragweed, I thought this was a pretty picture…
Happy Fall Everyone!
